Mrs. India South – Contestant Guidelines & Rules
1. Acceptance of Rules
- Contestants must agree to abide by all rules as set and amended from time to time by the organizers.
2. Eligibility
- Contestants must be female by birth.
- Contestants must be of South Indian origin (an applicant will be considered of South Indian origin if her father or mother is from any of the South Indian states).
- Contestants can be married, divorced, or widowed, with or without children.
- Contestants should be between 21–50 years old at the time of the pageant and provide valid age and address proof.
- Contestants must be able to communicate in English, the official language of the Grand Finale.
- Contestants must be physically and mentally fit.
- The Contestants must not be pregnant at the time of the pageant.
3. Conduct & Restrictions
- Contestants must never have posed for or engaged in nudity or pornography and must not engage in any employment involving nudity during their reign.
- Contestants must submit a No Objection Certificate from their husband or guardian with the application.
- Contestants cannot be part of any other commercial contract or pageant once shortlisted.
- Applicants should be at least 5 feet 1 inch tall.
- Contestants shall not undertake any other assignments during pre-events, grooming sessions, or the Grand Finale.
- Only the contestant will be allowed inside the designated venue during preliminaries.
4. Event Participation
- Contestants must strictly follow the schedule provided by the organizers.
- Dropping out after selection during audition rounds is treated as a breach of contract.
- Contestants must participate disciplinedly and diligently in all scheduled activities.
- Misconduct, misrepresentation, or negative behavior towards participants or the event in any form will lead to disqualification.
- Providing incorrect information at any stage will lead to immediate disqualification.
5. Grooming & Materials
- Contestants are responsible for bringing their own costumes and materials for grooming and the Grand Finale.
- Contestants must be available for all press meets, photo/video sessions, and PR activities arranged by the organizers.
- No interaction with the media is allowed without prior permission.
6. Contracts & Prize
- All contestants must sign a participation contract
- Winners must sign a 3-year contract with the organizers for endorsements, events, advertisements, and films, with 15% of remuneration payable to the organizer from such projects.
- During this period, winners cannot sign contracts independently.
- All prizes are subject to applicable tax deductions.
7. Expenses & Liability
- Organizers are not responsible for personal expenses (telephone, laundry, additional food, etc.).
- Organizers are not liable for any physical injury or loss during participation.
- Organizers are not responsible for non-telecast of the event.
- Winners cannot participate in other events without written permission.
- Organizers and sponsors may use photographs, videos, and social media content of contestants for promotion and advertising.
8. Legal & Dispute Resolution
- Organizers’ decisions regarding any dispute will be final and binding.
- Courts in Cochin will have jurisdiction over all disputes.
- Event schedules and rounds may change at the organizer’s discretion.
9. Grooming Section & Accommodation
- Participation in the grooming section is mandatory for selected contestants.
- Accommodation and food will be provided by the organizers during grooming.
- Alcohol is strictly prohibited during grooming and the Grand Finale.
- Contestants are not allowed to undertake any other activity during grooming.
- Accommodation during the 2-day grooming session is only for contestants; no family members allowed inside rooms.
- Family members can visit between 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
- Contestants are responsible for their personal belongings; organizers are not liable for lost items.
- A fitness certificate from a reputed medical practitioner must be submitted before grooming.
- Accommodation is on a twin-sharing basis.
- Contestants must follow all hotel rules.
- All travel expenses and risks to the event venue are borne by contestants.
10. Additional Rules
- Organizers are not responsible for the quality of services during any part of the pageant.
- Names of attending celebrities or professionals may change without notice.
- Contestants cannot question jury decisions; Grand Finale jury decisions are final.
- Contestants campaigning against the organizer on social media or other platforms may face legal action.
- Grooming charges for selected contestants are non-refundable.
- A registration fee of ₹1,250 + 18% GST applies and is non-refundable
